Bolt was present to watch the Round of 16 match between Hurbert Hurkacz and Jannik Sinner before Hurkacz accidentally played the tennis ball to Bolt.

In trying to help retrieve the ball, the period was timed at 9.58s, matching Bolt's historic WR performance to win the world title at the Berlin World Championships in 2009. The funny moment was timed with the commentary from Berlin when Bolt ran the WR with Tyson Gay second in 9.71s.

Now retired, Bolt's record still stands, as well as his 200m WR of 19.19s, making him the greatest sprinter of all time. He also has in his legendary collections multiple World and Olympic titles.

Sinner would later win the match against Hurkacz 3-6, 7-6(6), 6-1 and reach the quarterfinals, where he overcame fellow Italian Lorenzo Musetti to advance into his first Monte Carlo semifinals and third consecutive Masters 1000 semifinals in two months.

They are the Indian Wells and Miami Open (eventually got to the final but lost to Daniil Medvedev).

Musetti had a shocking victory over world No.1 Novak Djokovic to play Sinner, his biggest and first career victory against a top seed.
