Barcelona introduce new youngster in style
The young striker has been with Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy since he was seven years old and is considered one of the academy’s brightest talents, with his heroics against Athletic Club going further to prove this.
Guiu came on as a late substitute for another La Masia graduate, Fermin Lopez, and helped the Blaugrana to a crucial victory.

The 17-year-old scored after only one minute of his LaLiga debut in the 1-0 win, making Barcelona history in the process.

Guiu’s goal against Athletic Club saw the 17-year-old become the youngest player in the 21st century to score on his debut for Barcelona.

He was aged exactly 17 years and 291 days when he scored his first goal for Barcelona, exciting the Montjuic stadium, who welcomed yet another promising youngster to the Blaugrana fold.
Guiu joins players like Alejandro Balde, Gavi, Fermin Lopez, and Lamine Yamal in making the step up from La Masia to the Barcelona first team in recent years.
