Victor Osimhen: Napoli to wait longer for Super Eagles striker's return from injury
Victor Osimhen may have to watch Napoli from the sidelines for at least another month after suffering a hamstring injury while playing for his country.
However, according to reports the injury could extend longer than that with Napoli sweating about his fitness.
Osimhen’s injury
The 24-year-old striker was forced to miss Napoli's past two games against Hellas Verona and Union Berlin after sustaining a medium-grade lesion to his biceps femoris in his right thigh.
According to Il Mattino via TMW as reported by Football Italia, Osimhen will continue his recuperation plan and will face more testing during the November international break.
His chances of recovering in time for Napoli's match against Atalanta on November 25 appear to be slim at this point.
He is anticipated to be out for at least another month because the team does not want to take any chances by making him return sooner than planned.
Despite Napoli's sluggish start to the season, Osimhen has maintained his form, scoring six goals in his first eight Serie A games.
Rudi Garcia will be without his top striker Osimhen for many weeks as he remains sidelined due to an injury.
