Victor Osimhen in striker merry-go-round: Lukaku, 2 others fingered in gripping saga to get Super Eagles ace to PSG

The future of Nigeria's star striker Victor Osimhen has become the talk of the football world in a whirlwind of transfer activities. 

The 25-year-old Napoli hitman is at the centre of a complex series of high-stakes striker swaps that could see him join French giants Paris Saint-Germain in a blockbuster move.

The rumour mill suggests that Atletico Madrid could be the first to make a move, snatching up Randal Kolo-Muani from Paris Saint-Germain.

This could then pave the way for Alvaro Morata to make a switch to AC Milan, a move that could have a knock-on effect on Osimhen's future. 

The Serie A champions had initially been keen on signing Joshua Zirkzee from Premier League side Manchester United, but have now reportedly given up on that pursuit after the Red Devils agreed to pay the player's release clause at Bologna.

Milan just can't compete with United's financial muscle, so they've had to move on to Morata instead. 

This could be the domino that falls and ultimately leads to Osimhen's big-money move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The report suggests that if Morata does indeed join Milan, Atletico Madrid will attempt to replace him with the highly-rated Kolo-Muani, currently plying his trade at PSG. 

This would then free up the French champions to focus their attention on landing Osimhen, with Napoli said to be desperate to sell the Nigerian even for less than his €120 million release clause.

The striker market is currently saturated, with Europe's elite scrambling to secure the services of top-class number nines. 

Osimhen's potential move to the French capital could have a ripple effect across the continent, with Romelu Lukaku's future at Chelsea also said to be in doubt, with reports suggesting he could end up at Napoli as a replacement for the outgoing Osimhen.
