Ugandan Referees Secure Spot on FIFA International Lists for 2026

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has officially confirmed that a contingent of Ugandan referees has been approved for the FIFA Refereeing International Lists for 2026.

This milestone highlights the continued progress of Ugandan officiating on the global stage and underlines FUFA’s commitment to developing world-class referees.

FUFA’s Referees Committee has invested heavily in the growth of its officials, focusing on rigorous training programs, fitness assessments, and integrity initiatives.

These programs, which combine both local and international courses, are designed to ensure that Ugandan refereeing aligns with the highest global standards.

According to FUFA, the selected referees will be eligible to officiate in various FIFA and CAF competitions throughout the 2026 calendar, representing Uganda in multiple categories of the sport.
