The Turkish giants had the Nigerian ace on loan for the 2023/24 season from the Saints after his signing failed to stave off the drop the previous campaign. He impressed in Turkey, and Trabzonspor were keen on keeping him permanently, but could not reach an agreement with his parent club

Onuachu remained at Southampton last season when they returned to the Premier League. He was a bit-part player, managing only 1045 minutes in the league, which amounts to about 12 full matches. He scored four goals.

The Bordo Mavililer have returned for their man, and according to Fabrizio Romano, they have reached an agreement with the Championship side for a transfer fee.

Per the report, the transfer fee agreed upon is in the region of €8 million. Trabzonspor are said to now be working on reaching an agreement with the player on personal terms.

Meanwhile, another Turkish club, Galatasaray, are also looking to sign a Super Eagles striker who impressed on loan with them. The Cim-Bom’s pursuit of Victor Osimhen has been well reported, with the Turkish champions waiting for the Nigerian’s decision.

Osimhen is seemingly at ease about his future, as he rejected a mouth-watering offer from Al-Hilal and has yet to respond to Galatasaray as he continues to enjoy his holidays in Lagos.
