Transfer: Galatasaray set to offer player plus cash to sign Osimhen permanently
Following a tense relationship with the Napoli hierarchy, Osimhen was faced with difficulties during the transfer window.
However, he managed to secure a long-term loan move from Napoli to Galatasaray until the end of the season.
Since joining Galatasaray, the Nigerian has performed well, providing three assists and scoring six goals in his last eight games.
Galatasaray move on Osimhen
Galatasaray are reportedly looking to offer Turkish winger Yunus Akgün and added cash to complete a deal for Osimhen.
According to Turkish media, Napoli has entered the competition for Akgün and may formally bid during the January transfer window.
Following an outstanding Europa League campaign in which he led the goalscoring chart with four goals, the forward has drawn interest from top teams in Europe.
Manchester United and Napoli are allegedly interested in the Turkish attacker, which could help Galatasaray’s pursuit of Osimhen.
Galatasaray will be looking to use Akgün in a trade to lower Osimhen's transfer fee if Napoli decides to pursue him.
Meanwhile, Osimhen has quickly made a name for himself with Galatasaray fans after hitting the ground running on his arrival.
The Super Eagles star scored a brace in Galatasaray’s 3-2 win against Tottenham in the UEFA Europa League.
