The former manager had a disappointing season with Tottenham, which saw them end the season in 17th position in the Premier League.
However, he led Spurs to victory in the Europa League in May, securing Champions League football for the following season.
Thomas Frank praises Ange
Speaking in an interview, as reported by Sportal, Thomas Frank has praised the work done by Postecoglou at Tottenham.
"I think Ange did something special. He'll always be a Tottenham legend. It's important to understand that we stand on the shoulders of others. I'm coming in and building on the foundation Ange laid. I'll do my best to continue the great work he did," Frank said in his first interview as Spurs manager.
He also commented on the team's Europa League triumph: "The feeling, the excitement, the happiness on the fans' faces, those pictures were 'wow.' I hope we can create more of these moments. That's the dream."
The 51-year-old, who spent seven years at Brentford, acknowledged the past but emphasised his focus on the future.
"We have a good squad. This is an exciting, massive club with huge potential. So it's super, super exciting. I've had excellent conversations and meetings with the management where we've discussed everything in detail. Of course, I come with my vision, my ideas on how I want things to be and how I want to build the team."
"I always say: If you don't take risks, that's a risk too. So it's important to take risks. If you don't take risks with the ball, you can't create anything. We have to be brave. The players must be brave when they play, and they must believe in themselves. If they do that and lose the ball, no problem," Frank shared.
The manager's competitive debut will be in the UEFA Super Cup against Paris Saint-Germain on August 13th in Udine. The Premier League season kicks off three days later against Burnley.
