The Australian had a disappointing season with Tottenham and was sacked by the club at the end of the season.

Despite finishing 17th in the Premier League, Postecoglou delivered on his promise and won the club's first trophy since 2008, the UEFA Europa League, much to the chagrin of Ruben Amorim at Manchester United.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Levy admitted that the decision was "emotionally difficult" but asserted that the club can achieve much more, even dreaming of winning both the Premier League and the Champions League. Brentford's Thomas Frank is currently the favorite to succeed the Australian.

"We felt we had to make a change. I have an excellent relationship with him, and I told him he'll always be a part of our history. He and his family will always be welcome here.

"It was a collective decision, not just mine; we do everything together," Levy began, insisting that appointing Postecoglou two years ago wasn't a mistake, quite the opposite in fact.

"Emotionally, it was difficult, but we believe we made the right choice for the club. I'm very grateful to Ange, and I don't regret hiring him. In his first season, we finished fifth, and in the second, we won a trophy, and you saw all the emotion in the celebratory parade," he explained, emphasizing the desire to win more major titles.

"It was incredible, winning a European trophy, but it's not enough. It's what we haven't done yet that's most important. We need to win the league, we want to win the Premier League, we want to win the Champions League, we want to win," he concluded, as reported by Abola.
