Musa scores brace for Kano Pillars in NPFL’s return
The 2013 African Cup of Nations winner scored twice against Sunshine Stars on his NPFL return with Kano Pillars.
The 31-year-old scored a solo run and a goal from a team move, much to the delight of the crowd at the Mohammadu Dikko Stadium.
The former Leicester City man could have scored a hat-trick but he missed a penalty. However, his overall performance was impressive.
Musa's return to Kano Pillars marks a full-circle moment for the forward, who began his professional career with the club in 2009.
His 18 goals in that season helped Pillars finish second in the NPFL and earned him the league's top scorer award.
The performance set the stage for his successful European career, which included stints with VVV Venlo and Leicester City.
