They will not be part of my team — Maresca tells 2 Chelsea stars to leave

Enzo Maresca has been speaking ahead of Chelsea's clash against West Ham on Friday night, with the topic of transfers featuring prominently.

The Chelsea boss touched on several topics, including the futures of forwards Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku, who are both expected to leave the club this summer.

Speaking specifically about both players, Maresca said, via Ben Jacobs, "Nicolas Jackson is available, but he's not part of the squad for West Ham.

"We know something can happen before the window closes. With Christo, it's the same answer."

Jackson is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after falling behind new signings Joao Pedro and Liam Delap in the pecking order, while Nkunku has been linked with a return to former club RB Leipzig.

Chelsea are still pushing for two arrivals, as well as several sales, before the deadline.

They are targeting moves for Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho and RB Leipzig's versatile attacking midfielder Xavi Simons. For those two moves to go through, they have to complete sales.

They must also offload the so-called 'bomb squad', which features Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell, Axel Disasi, Alex Matos, Alfie Gilchrist, and David Datro Fofana.
