Kalou had highlighted both players as key figures to watch at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations and while one has already caught fire, the other remains a looming threat.

What Kalou said

“Lookman has been fantastic. He plays with so much confidence, always positive, always looking to make something happen. He’s been Nigeria’s spark,” Kalou said via duelbits.com

Lookman’s directness and fearless approach have made him one of Nigeria’s standout performers so far, consistently unsettling defenders and driving the team forward in crucial moments.

Kalou, however, reserved his most ominous warning for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who he believes has not yet fully exploded.

“Osimhen, listen, he hasn’t exploded yet, but that’s the danger,” Kalou explained.

He added, “He’s still influencing games, still dragging defenders all over the pitch. If he finds that extra gear, and he will, then Nigeria becomes almost unstoppable. His ceiling is frightening.”

Despite not yet producing his most devastating performances, Osimhen’s movement and presence continue to stretch defenses and create space for teammates.

The Super Eagles will face Mozambique in the round of 16 on Monday in Fez.
