They are full of confidence — Gary Cahill predicts winner of Chelsea vs Arsenal
Chelsea welcome league leaders Arsenal to Stamford Bridge, looking to build on the momentum gained from demolishing LaLiga giants Barcelona in midweek.
Despite Arsenal heading into the game with only one league defeat this season, ex-Blues defender Cahill is backing his old club to secure all three points.
He believes Chelsea's win over Barcelona in the Champions League has given them the necessary confidence to tackle the Gunners.
Cahill backs Chelsea to defeat Arsenal
Cahill dismissed any notion that Chelsea need special preparation for their rivals, telling Sky Bet:
“I don’t think there is anything Chelsea will learn from facing Arsenal. They’ll be fully aware of how good they are and the strength in depth they have.”
He emphasized that the Blues thrive in high-stakes matches.
“These are the games that you can’t lose if you want to go on and win a title. I think Chelsea will win 2-1 against Arsenal this weekend. I’ve got to back the boys, and they turn up against the big teams.”
"We will have to wait and see, it’s first vs. second, but they are a top team, we have a top team, so it will be a good game," he said. "God willing, we get the result we want," Madueke said.
