‘The club knows exactly what I think’ — Chelsea boss on Osimhen transfer
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca remains tight-lipped over a possible transfer for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as the transfer window nears its conclusion.
Chelsea eye Osimhen swap deal
The Blues are reportedly keen on signing Osimhen from Napoli this summer as their search for a centre-forward continues.
They reportedly offered Napoli a £39 million plus Romelu Lukaku and Cesare Casadei deal in hopes of convincing the Partenopei to part with the Nigerian striker.
It remains to be seen whether Napoli will consider Chelsea’s offer sufficient, but Maresca has refused to be drawn on the matter with the Premier League season set to kick off.
Maresca evasive after Osimhen questions
With Chelsea set to open their 2024/25 Premier League campaign against Manchester City, Maresca refused to comment on the possibility of signing Osimhen or bringing back Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix.
Speaking ahead of the Manchester City match, Maresca told reporters, “I’m not gonna comment on Atleti and Napoli players. The club knows exactly what I think and hopefully, before the window shuts we can bring in some more players.”

Maresca will be hoping to start off his Chelsea career in the best possible way, and has been given and advantage with Manchester City’s Rodri ruled out of the match, but the Italian would surely have wished he had one of Osimhen or Felix in his side to face the reigning champions.
