What Pogba said

Speaking during a livestream with internet celebrity iShowSpeed, Pogba was candid about the 26-year-old’s departure, stating, “That’s crazy, but I’m happy for him because they [United] took his number. Manchester United are losing a great player. Unlucky for them."

Pogba also defended Ruben Amorim, United’s new manager, who reportedly fell out with Rashford shortly after his arrival.

The breakdown in their relationship led to Rashford being loaned out to Aston Villa in January 2025, before securing a loan move to Barcelona this summer, which includes a €30 million option to buy.

“It’s great for Barcelona to be honest. I’m not even talking about United, because they’ve bought a few new players and the new manager wants to do his thing I guess. It’s not really his fault. If he doesn’t believe in someone… he needs to win. If he doesn’t win, they’re going to sack him,” Pogba said.
