That is what we want — Iwobi reveals Fulham's European ambition after Bassey inspired win
Super Eagles and Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi is confident that his team can secure a European spot by the end of the season.
The Cottagers defeated Nottingham Forest 2-1 at Craven Cottage, boosting their chances of finishing in the European places.
Marco Silva's men are currently 8th in the Premier League with 39 points from 25 games, just five points off fourth place.
Iwobi emphasized the team's ambition and focus on taking things one game at a time.
"To do the double over big teams will definitely give us an advantage, but we always take it game by game," Iwobi told The Mirror.
"It doesn't matter if the other team is challenging for European spots or in the relegation zone; we'll treat everyone with the same respect."
"We just have to keep on pushing and taking things step by step, but Europe is definitely in the back of our minds, though."
