Super Eagles of Nigeria star Taiwo Awoniyi has reason to celebrate

The 26-year-old Awoniyi added a new member to his family on Saturday, August 12, 2023.

Awoniyi and his wife Taiwo Jesudun welcomed a new baby, according to several posts on social media.

In viral photos on social media, Awoniyi wears a Nottingham Forest training kit as he holds his son.

It was a remarkable day for Awoniyi as he featured for Nottingham Forest in their first Premier League game against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Awoniyi started the game on the bench as the Gunners cruised to a comfortable 2-0 lead.

In the 71st minute, Awoniyi was introduced for Danilo to help spark Nottingham back into the game.

In the 82nd minute, Awoniyi pulled one back for Nottingham Forest from a ball by Anthony Elnaga for their first goal of the season.

Nottingham, however, was unable to get a late equalizer as they lost the game.

Awoniyi returns to action when Nottingham Forest play their first home game of the season against Sheffield United on Friday, August 18, 2023.
