Super Falcons star Nnadozie wins prestigious CAF Goalkeeper of the Year award in back-to-back years
Super Falcons and Brighton star Chiamaka Nnadozie has been named the best women's goalkeeper in Africa at the CAF awards for 2025, sealing a third consecutive win for the Super Falcons stopper.
The 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations Best Goalkeeper and champion with the Super Falcons has now won the CAF award in three years between 2023 and 2025.
Nnadozie completes CAF hat-trick
Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie was honoured with the Best Women’s Goalkeeper award at the 2025 CAF Awards in Rabat, Morocco, on November 19, after also winning the award in 2023 and 2024.
She topped Morocco’s Khadija Er-Rmichi and South Africa’s Andile Dlamini, a result that CAF described as “a reflection of her consistency and dominance on the continent.”
The 24-year-old enjoyed a standout year for both club and country. At Paris FC, she helped the club win the Coupe de France Féminine, a triumph that her coach hailed as “a defining moment for her and the team.”
Nnadozie powers Super Falcons to 10th WAFCON
Her form carried into national duty as she played a key role in Nigeria’s 10th WAFCON title, keeping four clean sheets and earning the tournament’s Best Goalkeeper award.
After WAFCON, Nnadozie moved to Brighton & Hove Albion, impressing immediately and earning Player of the Match on her debut.
Her continued rise, marked by multiple WSL award nominations, reinforces her status as one of the world’s most exciting goalkeeping talents.
