Super Falcons legend Nnadozie nominated for FIFA The Best award
Super Falcons and Brighton goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been nominated for The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper 2025 Award after an extraordinary year for both club and country.
The 24-year-old, widely regarded as one of Africa’s finest female footballers, earned global recognition for her heroics with Paris FC, her country’s record-breaking WAFCON triumph, and her seamless transition to life in the English Women’s Super League.
Nnadozie’s year of brilliance for club and country
Between August 2024 and August 2025, Nnadozie was nothing short of sensational for club and country.
With Paris FC, she pulled off world-class performances that culminated in a dramatic Coupe de France victory over Paris Saint-Germain, where she kept a clean sheet and saved two penalties during the shootout.
Internationally, she stood tall once again as Nigeria clinched a record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title in Morocco.
Across six matches at the 2024 WAFCON, Nnadozie kept four clean sheets and delivered decisive saves in the knockout rounds that propelled the Super Falcons to continental glory.
Super Falcons’ star recognised among the world’s best
Her exceptional form has seen her appear on multiple award shortlists, including the inaugural female Yachine Trophy and Africa’s Best Women’s Goalkeeper Award, which she could win for a third consecutive year.
Since her move to Brighton & Hove Albion, she has continued to shine, earning a Player of the Match award on her debut, along with nominations for the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month and WSL Save of the Month.
