The move to the Championship side presents Iheanacho with an opportunity to regain form and confidence after a difficult period in Spain.
Last season, the 28-year-old was an important figure for Leicester City, helping them win promotion back to the Premier League. Now, he will look to contribute to Middlesbrough’s push for a playoff spot in the Championship.
Middlesbrough currently sits in seventh place on the Championship table, with 44 points from 29 matches.
The club is well within striking distance of the playoff spots, and the addition of Iheanacho is expected to bolster their attacking options as they continue to chase a promotion spot.
