The Trabzonspor centre-back spoke after Salah inspired his side to a 2-1 victory over Istanbul Basaksehir at Papara Park on Sunday, scoring twice in another devastating display.

For Nwaiwu, the performance reinforced why Salah remains one of the most dangerous forwards in world football.

“You need to be 100% ready” - Nwaiwu

Speaking to Haber61, Nwaiwu said preparing to face Salah requires complete mental and physical focus.

“Every player who plays against Salah needs to be very prepared,” the Nigerian defender said.

Rather than avoiding the challenge, the Super Eagles centre-back admitted he would welcome the opportunity to test himself against one of football's elite attackers.

He added, “As a defender, I would like to play against Salah. If I'm going to play against him, I need to be 100% ready and completely focused.”

Nwaiwu believes Salah's greatest strength lies in the complete package he brings as an attacker.

The defender praised the Egyptian's exceptional technical ability, insisting he is not the type of player who can simply be marked out of a game.
