Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman on target as Atalanta defy French president to set up Europa League final against Leverkusen

Nigerian striker Ademola Lookman was on song for Atalanta as they hammered Marseille 3-0 to set up a tantalising Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen.

The Nigerian striker scored the opener for Atalanta as they overcame a dogged Marseille side 4-1 on aggregate following a 1-1 draw in the first leg.

In addition to Lookman's goal, further strikes from Matteo Rugeri and El Bilal Toure sank Marseille to a disappointing defeat as the hosts defied the prediction made by French President Emmanuel Macron.

Macron had tipped Marseille to beat Atalanta and progress to the final of the Europa League, but Lookman and co had other plans, downing the Ligue 1 side
