After a brief mid-season hiatus, the Pride of Rivers who crashed out of the continent find themselves in a commanding position, perched atop the league table with an impressive 37 points from 19 games. Their consistency has given them a crucial four-point cushion over their closest challengers, Abia Warriors.

Abia Warriors are hot on Rivers United's heels with 33 points, while Ikorodu City and Nasarawa United are locked in a battle for third and fourth, both on 32 points. Niger Tornadoes round out the top five with 29 points, indicating that any slip-up from the leaders could drastically alter the landscape.
