Strasbourg vs Crystal Palace preview, prediction, team news and head-to-head
The French side are seventh with seven points, while the Eagles are one point and two spots below.
Strasbourg vs Crystal Palace Preview
Strasbourg remain unbeaten in the Conference League this season with two wins and a draw in the league phase, most recently securing a 2-1 win over Hacken in the competition.
They followed it with a 2-0 win over Lille in the French Ligue 1, but a 1-0 defeat to Lens over the weekend ended their run of two matches with a win.
Liam Rosenior’s side, who are also owned by BlueCo, the same company that owns Premier League side Chelsea, have lost just one of their last nine UEFA competition matches (W6 D2).
Palace will hope they can end that run, and Oliver Glasner’s side arrive in solid form, with four wins and a draw to remain unbeaten in their last five matches.
The Eagles have not conceded in their last two matches, settling for a goalless draw with Brighton before a 2-0 victory away at Wolves over the weekend.
However, they have shown their vulnerability in this competition already after losing 1-0 at home against AEK Larnaca, and this will be set up to be a bigger test.
Strasbourg vs Crystal head-to-head
This will be the first UEFA competition meeting between these sides, and Palace’s first against a French side.
Meanwhile, Strasbourg’s only previous European meeting against an English side came against Liverpool in the second round of the 1997-98 UEFA Cup, and they won 3-0 at home before losing 2-0 away.
