Palace will hope they can end that run, and Oliver Glasner’s side arrive in solid form, with four wins and a draw to remain unbeaten in their last five matches.

The Eagles have not conceded in their last two matches, settling for a goalless draw with Brighton before a 2-0 victory away at Wolves over the weekend.

However, they have shown their vulnerability in this competition already after losing 1-0 at home against AEK Larnaca, and this will be set up to be a bigger test.

This will be the first UEFA competition meeting between these sides, and Palace’s first against a French side.

Meanwhile, Strasbourg’s only previous European meeting against an English side came against Liverpool in the second round of the 1997-98 UEFA Cup, and they won 3-0 at home before losing 2-0 away.

The French side will be without Maxi Oyedele, who is out injured, and Saidou Sow, who is recovering from a long-term knee injury.

Abdoul Outtara is a doubt with a hamstring injury, while all eyes will be on Martial Godo once again, having directly contributed to four (one goal, three assists) of Strasbourg’s five goals in this competition so far.

Palace have no major injury casualties, with Chris Richards expected to be fit after enduring a cramp in the win over Wolves.
