Speaking after the match between Gor Mahia and Kenya Police, where the former won 2-0, Shariff Musa explained that it was a great opportunity to be called up to the national team.

The Gor Mahia forward explained that he is ready to don the Harambee Stars jersey and impress Benni McCarthy with the hope of cementing his place in the national team.

“It’s a great opportunity, and I think it’s every player’s dream to represent the country, so it’s a great opportunity for me to wear the national team jersey and represent this country,” he said in a video shared on Gor Mahia’s X (Twitter) handle.

“It feels good…it has been a great game, great opponents, so we thank God for the win. Police are a very good side, and we approached them knowing that we hadn’t recently won against them. So, it was important for us to get a win against Police,” he shared.

“I think it is just a matter of patience and knowing what you want for the team. So, I think that kept me going throughout the game.”
