After the final whistle, the Senegalese ended up punching the German on the lip before the team travelled back to Munich.
Consequently, the former Liverpool forward has been suspended for the next game against Hoffenheim and fined for what the club termed 'misconduct.'
The club, before fining and suspending the Africa Cup of Nations winning star, held a meeting in which the two players were present.
It is reported that Sane pleaded with Bayern’s hierarchy not to sack Mane after the brawl.
The former Manchester City forward is said to have also asked for a lenient punishment for his teammate. Reports also indicate that Sane considers 'the topic is now closed'.
German news outlets reported that both Mane and Sane were present when Bayern conducted their training session on Thursday and were pictured jogging metres away from one another.
