Ten Hag was asked why Sancho was left out of the Manchester United squad to play Arsenal over the weekend, and replied that the England international was dropped after failing to impress during the week’s training.

Sancho replied to his manager’s comments about his training levels, slamming the declaration as being false and calling out Ten Hag for making him a scapegoat for the team’s recent struggles.

The England international responded to Ten Hag’s claims about his training, by saying, “Please don’t believe everything you read. I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue.”

In the wake of the dispute between Sancho and Ten Hag, many have questioned the forward’s future at the Red Devils, given Ten Hag’s reputation as a disciplinarian.

Club legend Cristiano Ronaldo was axed from the team after a similar outburst and his ex-teammate at Manchester United, Ferdinand has suggested that Sancho should go the same route after his statements about his training levels.

On his X handle, Ferdinand posted a video where he said, “There’s only one way that this ends right now, or two ways. There’s only one [transfer] window open and that’s Saudi, or you’re on the bench or not getting in the squad for the rest of the season.”

The Saudi Arabian transfer window will remain open until September 7, and if Sancho wants to take on Ferdinand’s advice, he will have to act fast to get a move away from Old Trafford.
