Romell Glave stuns Jeremiah Azu and Kishane Thompson to win 60m final in Stockholm
The men's 60m final at the BAUHAUS-galan Indoor on Thursday night produced a major upset as Great Britain's Romell Glave delivered a stunning performance to set a new track record.
Glave ran a well-executed race, clocking a brilliant personal best of 6.51s to edge his compatriot, Jeremiah Azu, the reigning world indoor champion in 6.54s, while Jamaica's Olympic and world 100m silver medallist Kishane Thompson settled for third in 6.56s.

Another British sprinter, Jody Smith, finished fourth with a season's best of 6.58s. Rounding out the top five was Oman's Ali Anwar Al-Balushi, the Asian indoor 60m champion, who set a new personal best with a time of 6.60 seconds.
The race proved to be a huge marker for the rest of the indoor season, showing the fierce competitiveness in the men's sprint division and how upsets can happen at any competition.
For Thompson and Azu, their focus will be on getting back to form and bouncing back to winning ways ahead of the World Indoor Championships in March.
