The talented youngster has been excellent this season, contributing to Di Zerbi's explosive frontline with three assists and seven goals throughout all competitions. He did, however, miss the thrilling 3-3 draw with Brentford at the weekend because he developed an unidentified issue when travelling with the Republic of Ireland late last month.

De Zerbi has given an update regarding the Irish forward this afternoon saying the player is ready for action and prepared to face Bournemouth at the Vitality stadium.

Speaking in a press conference, Zerbi said, "Ferguson is available but no other news," he told reporters. "No other players are back."

Brighton injury worries

Despite being on the verge of a comeback, Tariq Lamptey has not been considered healthy enough to play at Vitality Stadium.

"It is a difficult situation," Di Zerbi added. "We will see in the next week. It is important for us to have some solutions on the bench. The last game we finished the game with Solly March and Pascal Gross and we have to find a solution if Lamptey is not there."

Long-term absences include the midfielders Adam Lallana, Jakub Moder, and the winger Jeremy Sarmiento who are still far away from getting fit for Brighton.
