Revealed: Details of Saka’s ₦546 million per week contract as Nigerian-born star becomes Arsenal’s highest-paid player
Bukayo Saka has signed a blockbuster five-year contract extension with Arsenal, committing his future to the Emirates Stadium until 2031.
The Nigerian-born England international now stands as the Gunners’ highest-paid player to kick-start a new era.
₦546 million per week and £78 million package
Saka’s new agreement is understood to be worth at least £78 million over five years, with the 24-year-old set to earn in excess of £300,000 per week, approximately ₦546 million.
The deal surpasses the wages of key teammates, including Kai Havertz (£280,000 per week), Gabriel Jesus (£265,000), and William Saliba, firmly placing Saka at the top of Arsenal’s pay structure.
His previous contract had been due to expire in 2027, but the Gunners moved decisively to secure their prized asset amid reported interest from European heavyweights.
A product of the Hale End academy, Saka is nearing his 300th senior appearance for Arsenal, having registered 77 goals and 78 assists in 296 matches, remarkable numbers for a player still in his mid-20s.
Saka remains a key pillar in Arsenal’s title ambitions
Saka’s renewal follows a series of long-term commitments at the club, with William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly also signing extensions.
The timing is significant as manager Mikel Arteta pushes for Arsenal’s first Premier League title since the 2003/04 Invincibles campaign.
The North London side currently sit four points clear at the top of the table and remain active in the FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Champions League, fuelling hopes of a historic season.
