The Turkish giants, fresh off signing Leroy Sane and riding high on UEFA Champions League qualification, were in hot pursuit of Manchester City maestro Bernardo Silva until the Al Nassr star reportedly stepped in to block the move.

The Al-Nassr forward, Silva’s Portugal teammate and friend, is believed to have applied pressure on Al-Nassr management to lure the City star to the Saudi Pro League instead.

Ronaldo’s influence reportedly disrupted ongoing negotiations between Silva’s agent, George Gardi, and Galatasaray’s transfer team. While Galatasaray hoped to use Champions League football as a bargaining chip, Ronaldo's timely interjection may reroute Silva’s future away from Istanbul.

At 30, Silva remains one of City’s most elegant playmakers and has helped secure multiple Premier League titles and two UEFA Nations League crowns with Portugal. Galatasaray’s dream of pairing Silva with Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen is now in jeopardy.

Initially seen as an opportunistic loan signing, the Nigerian hitman exploded with 37 goals and 8 assists in 41 games, firing Gala to a domestic double.

After rejecting a €35 million-a-year offer from Al-Hilal, Osimhen seems focused on making his loan move to Turkey permanent.
