Osimhen set for Saudi switch after Galatasaray goal frenzy

According to reports out of Riyadh, Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has agreed to a three-year deal with Al Hilal.

After setting Turkey on fire with 37 goals in 41 matches during his loan spell at Galatasaray, the Napoli-owned striker is now gearing up for another explosive chapter, this time in the Saudi Pro League.

While Juventus were initially the frontrunners for Osimhen’s signature, a shake-up in their sporting director plans seems to have cooled things off.

Manchester United were sniffing around too, reportedly proposing a swap deal involving Rasmus Højlund plus cash, while Chelsea flirted with the idea before turning their attention to Liam Delap and Hugo Ekitike.

For a club already boasting names like Milinkovic-Savic and Ruben Neves, Osimhen’s goals could make the difference for Al Hilal in reclaiming the Saudi Pro League title.

Negotiations with AC Milan are reportedly at an advanced stage, with a proposed transfer fee hovering around €35 million. While the deal is not official yet, the only thing left is Theo’s own nod of approval.

The 2022 World Cup finalist had an up-and-down season with Milan, racking up 49 appearances, 5 goals, and 6 assists, but a trophy-less campaign and internal instability might just push him toward a fresh start in Riyadh.

Al Hilal are also targeting Atalanta’s midfield rock Ederson, and are also nearing a deal for Inter Milan’s Simone Inzaghi, fresh off the UEFA Champions League final loss.
