Referees for crunch Vipers-BUL, Villa-KCCA ties named

The match officials have been outed ahead of what promises a mouthwatering Uganda Premier League encounter between champions Vipers SC and table leaders BUL FC.

Local football custodian FUFA has confirmed the experienced referee Mashood Ssali will be in charge of the bout between first and second (Vipers) at the St Mary's Stadium, Kitende, on Friday.

BUL leads proceedings with 26 points, while the hosts come second with 24 and will assume the top spot with victory.

It should be noted that Ssali will have Ronald Katenya and Brianson Musisi as his first and second assistants, respectively.

Meanwhile, Lucky Kasalirwe, Haruna Mawanda and Salima Kairungi will work as the Fourth Official, Match Assessor and General Coordinator, respectively.

Elsewhere, William Oloya will officiate the highly anticipated Kampala derby between KCCA FC and SC Villa at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku, on Friday.

Emmanuel Okudra and Mustafa Mafumu will assist him, while George Olemu, David Katabira and Sumaya Kiwanuka will serve as the Fourth Official, Match Assessor and General Coordinator, respectively.
