Real Madrid rebuffed: Arsenal reportedly reject approach for star player

Arsenal have firmly shut the door on any potential transfer of William Saliba, despite strong interest from Real Madrid, as per Football Transfers. 

The 23-year-old French defender reportedly emerged as a top target for Los Blancos, who are looking to bolster their defensive line in the summer of 2025.

However, Arsenal consider Saliba an indispensable part of their squad and are rumoured to have made it clear that they will not entertain any offers for him, regardless of the financial incentive or player exchanges proposed. 

Even the prospect of a substantial transfer fee combined with the acquisition of Real Madrid's Rodrygo, a player admired by the Gunners, is unlikely to sway their decision as per the report.

Saliba has been instrumental for the Gunners in recent seasons, featuring prominently in their campaigns and earning recognition for his outstanding performances. 

His inclusion in the PFA Team of the Year for two consecutive seasons and the Euro 2024 Team of the Tournament further underscores his growing stature in world football.

With a contract at the Emirates Stadium until 2027, Arsenal are in a strong position to retain their prized defender. 

The North London side host Bolton in the League Cup on Wednesday (today) before returning to Premier League action this weekend when Leicester City visit the Emirates on September 28.
