Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois criticises Belgium's manager in public, calls him a liar

The Real Madrid goalkeeper's frustration stems from being overlooked for the captaincy in matches against Austria and Estonia last June, sparking a rift with Tedesco and the Belgian Football Federation.

Courtois minced no words, alleging that both the federation and Tedesco failed to show him the respect he deserves. 

He expressed dismay at Tedesco's lack of clarity regarding the captaincy snub, stating, as reported by the Sun, "Tedesco hasn't given me a straight answer." 

Despite Tedesco's recent assurances of efforts to reintegrate Courtois into the squad, the goalkeeper publicly challenged the claim, posting three Pinocchio emojis on social media in response to Tedesco's remarks about his future.

With Tedesco recently awarded a new two-year contract, Courtois faces the possibility of being sidelined should tensions persist. 

There's speculation that Courtois may have played his last game for the Red Devils, a remarkable twist for the goalkeeper who made his Belgium debut in 2011 at the age of 19 and has since earned 101 caps for his country. 

Currently recovering from injury and set to miss the upcoming European Championships, Courtois is eyeing a return to action with Real Madrid early next season.
