The incident occurred on July 16, when Malacia, who was a passenger in a Range Rover owned by his teammate Marcus Rashford, was involved in a collision with a black Mercedes C220 AMG Sport.

According to reports from The Sun, the Range Rover was being driven by one of Rashford’s friends when it was hit by the Mercedes.

The female driver of the Mercedes was initially detained at the scene and later arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.

She was subsequently taken to Macclesfield Hospital for a medical evaluation.

Malacia, who has been struggling with injuries recently, was taken to the hospital as a precaution but was cleared by doctors after the incident.

Both he and the driver of Rashford's Range Rover were advised to seek medical attention, but fortunately, neither suffered severe injuries.

Following the accident, both Malacia and Rashford returned to training with Manchester United the next day, resuming their preparations for the upcoming season.

The incident has brought a temporary halt to the club’s preparations but thankfully, the players involved appear to be recovering well.
