President of a LALIGA club reveals agreement to sign Real Madrid's Club World Cup
Galatasaray president Angel Torres revealed that they had an agreement with Real Madrid to sign Gonzalo Garcia before the Spanish striker's incredible scoring form at the Club World Cup.
Garcia turning heads
The 21-year-old had never started a game for the first team before this competition. However, Kylian Mbappe was suffering from an illness, and new coach Xabi Alonso thrust Garcia into the thick of things.
The youngster made the most of the opportunity, scoring in his first match. He has scored four goals in the competition so far, the just for Los Blancos, and the joint-top in the competition.
Getafe president drops bombshell
According to Torres, the Azulones had an agreement for Garcia.
“We have an agreement with Gonzalo,” he told reporters. “There was a commitment that as long as he didn’t stay at Real Madrid he could come.
“This is an agreement from a month and a half ago with both the club and the agent. I have hope, if Gonzalito comes it would be a good help. We also have VÃctor Muñoz committed, but he is at the World Cup too.”
