Pep Guardiola Divorce: Why Man City Are Worried Over Manager's Imminent Split from Estranged Wife
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola's divorce proceedings are expected to be finalised soon.
Sources indicate a sense of "urgency" as the relationship between Guardiola and his wife Cristina Serra, has reportedly deteriorated.
News of the couple's separation first surfaced in January, coinciding with a challenging period for Guardiola professionally. There are concerns that the ongoing personal matters could cast a shadow over the upcoming season.

Guardiola has already announced his intention to leave Manchester City when his contract expires in 2027, stating a need to "focus on myself." Insiders suggest the relationship with Serra has shifted from "friendly to cordial" amid complex negotiations. A formal announcement is anticipated as early as next month.
According to The Sun, Spanish journalists Laura Fa and Lorena Vazquez, who initially broke the news of the split, believe reconciliation is unlikely.
What Is the Status of Pep-Cristina Divorce?
Fa stated, "The signing of this divorce is imminent. Clearly, their relationship has come to an end." Vazquez added, "The relationship is no longer friendly, but cordial. While there's no apparent tension, the breakup has progressed. There's a greater urgency to finalise this."
Guardiola, 54, and Serra, 52, were together for 30 years and married in 2014. Serra, a fashion businesswoman, reportedly struggled to adapt to life in Manchester and returned to Spain five years ago.
Sources claim the couple decided to separate in December, shortly after Guardiola signed a new contract with Manchester City. This reportedly proved to be the final straw for Serra.
Despite the separation, Guardiola was seen wearing his wedding ring after the news broke. In March, he spent three days at the couple's £8.5 million Barcelona home. They have reportedly hired the same lawyer to avoid a contentious legal battle.
Last month, Guardiola and Serra attended an Oasis concert with their children, Maria, 24, and Marius, 22. However, no photos of the couple together emerged. Maria, a social media influencer, only shared pictures of herself and her father at the event.
