Despite a promising first year where he contributed eight goals and four assists in 23 appearances, this season has been a nightmare for the attacker.

Plagued by limited game time—just eight appearances in 24 matches, mostly from the bench—Ziyech has grown increasingly frustrated.

Speaking to Turkish journalist Haluk Yurekli, the Moroccan did not hold back, saying, "Galatasaray is over for me. I don't want to play here anymore. I'm leaving in January."

Ziyech also criticised manager Okan Buruk, describing him as "a coach of such a low level" and openly regretting his move to the Istanbul-based club.

Ziyech goes from hero to outcast

When Ziyech arrived at Galatasaray, he was welcomed with fanfare. Introduced to the club's passionate ultras at Rams Park, he was viewed as a marquee signing who could elevate the team.

However, the relationship has soured dramatically, leaving the Morocco international with little choice but to demand an exit at the earliest convenience.

This fallout marks another twist in Ziyech’s turbulent career. After a big-money move to Chelsea in 2020, he failed to live up to expectations despite winning the Champions League.

Chelsea's Hakim Ziyech is expected to join Saudi's Al Nassr.

A failed loan to PSG and his struggles in Turkey are just the latest in the long line of challenges he has faced since leaving Ajax.

With the January window approaching, Ziyech’s departure seems imminent, as he looks to reignite his career away from Galatasaray.
