Osimhen missing: Fans attack Galatasaray coach for leaving Eagles striker out of matchday squad
Galatasaray fans have expressed strong dissatisfaction after coach Okan Buruk left Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen out of the squad for the recent Super Lig match against Goztepe.
As reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria, the Lions made their 22-man squad for the penultimate game of the season in the Super Lig, with the Nigerian striker a conspicuous omission.

The decision has led to a wave of criticism on the club’s social media platforms, with supporters demanding explanations for the absence of their star forward.
Many fans took to social media to voice their frustration. One supporter asked, “Where is Victor Osimhen, the Al Hilal player? Why isn’t he playing?”
Another fan suggested there might be a hidden injury, claiming, “He tore his cruciate ligaments, but the club is hiding it from the media to push a transfer to Al Hilal.”
The disappointment among fans was clear, with one lamenting, “Are we really not going to see Osimhen for the last two games? This is unbelievable!”

Another bluntly questioned the coach’s decision, asking, “What on earth is Okan Buruk thinking?” Many others simply echoed the same question: “Where is Osi?”
The backlash comes despite Buruk’s previous explanations for resting Osimhen in earlier matches.
Osimhen has been a key figure this season, scoring 36 goals in all competitions and breaking club records.
However, with Galatasaray having already secured the league title, Buruk has opted to rest key players, including Osimhen, as the team prepares for the final fixtures.
Transfer rumours linking Osimhen to clubs like Al Hilal, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Juventus continue to circulate, but Buruk remains confident Osimhen will stay until the season’s end.
The coach also expressed the club’s desire to make Osimhen’s loan move permanent, emphasising the importance of keeping the player focused.
