Osimhen is a complete machine — Eric Chelle full of praise for 'best striker in the world'
Eric Chelle has showered praise on Nigeria's star man Victor Osimhen, praising the forward's dedication and constant drive for perfection.
Chelle, speaking in a recent interview on RMC Sport’s After Afrique podcast, called Osimhen a complete machine, who was never satisfied.
Eric Chelle hails Osimhen as complete machine
“Osimhen is a complete machine,” Chelle said.
“In every training session, if he doesn’t do that specific goal-scoring drill for the forwards, if he doesn’t score those goals at the end of training, he goes crazy; he’s never satisfied.”
The coach also shared details about Osimhen's toughness during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Even though he had a hamstring injury that would have stopped most players, the forward insisted on playing throughout the tournament to help Nigeria win the bronze medal.
“Osimhen arrived at the Africa Cup of Nations injured. He played the entire tournament with a mild hamstring injury," Chelle said.
"Victor has an iron will. Even if it meant risking his health, he wanted to help his country.”
Chelle also made the 27-year-old the Super Eagles' assistant captain before the tournament, and set up the team's attack in the best possible way to get the most out of his star striker.
Osimhen has since returned to Galatasaray, where he has scored 3 goals in the last 4 games.
