'One legend' -Sporting Lisbon honours Ronaldo with special Kits

Sporting Lisbon has paid tribute to their former player, Cristiano Ronaldo, by unveiling a special third kit for the 2024/25 season.

The kit features the iconic number 7, synonymous with Ronaldo's illustrious career.

The black kit, adorned with gold accents, is a fitting homage to Ronaldo's career, highlighting his numerous achievements at clubs like Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus.

“There are numbers that leave one legend: the next No. 7 could be you!

“In honour of Cristiano, we invite you to wear the No.7 jersey, the third kit of the 2024/25 season,” Sporting said.

It's worth noting that Ronaldo didn't wear the number 7 shirt during his brief stint at Sporting. However, the club's decision to honour him with this special kit underscores his impact on the world of football.

This move comes amid speculation about Ronaldo's future, with his contract at Al-Nassr set to expire in the summer. While there are rumours of a potential return to Sporting, the Portuguese club's gesture is seen as a strategic move to entice the legendary forward.
