One last chance! 33-year-old Neymar to play under ex-Chelsea boss as contract offer prepared
Turkish giants Fenerbahçe are set to make waves in the transfer market with a surprising bid for Neymar, according to Fanatik.
The move offers Neymar the chance to play under one of football’s greatest managers, José Mourinho, with the prospect of competing in the UEFA Champions League one last time.
Sources indicate that Fenerbahce have proposed a lucrative one-year deal with an option for an additional year to the Brazilian star, whose contract with Santos expires at the end of June.
Other clubs, including Marseille, have also been linked with the forward. It remains uncertain whether Neymar will extend his contract with Santos.
The 33-year-old rejoined his boyhood club this past winter after terminating his contract with Al-Hilal.
Since returning, he has appeared in just 12 matches, scoring three goals and providing three assists. Fitness issues have once again slowed his progress, but word from his camp suggests he’s eager to reignite his career, especially with the 2026 World Cup on the horizon.
On his day, Neymar remains one of football’s finest talents, and perhaps Mourinho is the manager to spark his revival.
