Nigeria's Women's league records 4 goalless draws in six matches
Nigeria's elite women's football league, NWFL, provided little excitement for its fans on matchday 11.
There were just two wins, four draws and three goals scored for an average of just 0.5 goals per game in six matches played across the country.
Edo Queens and Nasarawa Amazons were the biggest winners on the day, with one home and an away win.
Here is a quick review of the NWFL matches on Wednesday.
Edo Queens 2-0 Robo Queens
It was a battle of the Queens in Edo as the home side showed who the real land ladies are with a comfortable win.
Two goals in either half from Fajobi Yetunde and Suliat Abideen were the difference for Edo Queens at home.
It was the sixth win of the season for Edo, who returned to the top of the table in Group B.
For Robo, they have now lost four games this season but are still in contention for a place in the super six.
Ibom Angels 0-1 Nasarawa Queens
Akwa Ibom's Angels suffered a home defeat following a narrow 1-0 loss to their visitors Nasarawa Amazons.
The Amazons put on a good showing in Uyo to take all three points courtesy of a 48th-minute strike from Ayatsea Hembafan.
It was a keenly contested encounter in Uyo but the home side failed to make good use of their home advantage en route to an eighth loss of the campaign.
The NWFL draws
Meanwhile, it was a goalless affair across four other centres led by Kogi where Adamawa Queens held the Confluence Queens to a 0-0 draw.
Others who got similar results are Naija Ratels, Delta Queens and Bayelsa Queens with respective 0-0 draws at Osun Babes, Royal Queens and Heartland Queens
