Noah Lyles has once again stirred controversy and stoked tensions between athletics and basketball fans with controversial comments in a recent interview.
After insisting that winning the NBA title does not make a team world champions, the 27-year-old is back in the news.
The track star faced backlash from fans after admitting on the Night Cap show that he's not familiar with Nikola Jokic, arguably the NBA's best player.
When asked if Jokic is one of the best players in the world, Lyles candidly replied, "I'm gonna be honest, I don't know who that is."

Fans react to Noah Lyles comments on Nikola Jokic
Fans were quick to roast him, pointing out that if he's not aware of Jokic, who just led Serbia to a bronze medal and won NBA MVP, then he clearly doesn't understand the level of international talent in the league.
Noah Lyles tried to say the NBA doesn't deserve the world champion title then proceeds to not know arguably the most popular international player, typical https://t.co/u8PZaeMROj
