No Lookman in Atalanta squad amidst PSG interest
Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has been left out of Atalanta’s squad to face Lecce in their first match of the new Serie A season amidst reports linking the Nigerian to Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.

After a successful 2023/24 campaign that saw Lookman shine at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and also score a hat-trick in Atalanta’s triumphant Europa League final, the Nigerian has garnered interest from a number of top clubs.
PSG are the latest to be linked to the Super Eagles star after reports of a possible switch late in the transfer window emerged.
Following the injury to PSG forward Goncalo Ramos, the reigning Ligue 1 champions are now looking to the Super Eagles star to fill the hole left by the Portuguese star’s injury.
Lookman absent from Atalanta squad
Amidst the uncertainty over his future, Lookman has been excluded from the Atalanta team that faces Lecce in the first game week of the new Serie A season, similar to his compatriot Victor Osimhen, who is also linked with PSG.

Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners, who has also been linked with a move away from the squad was similarly left out of the team to face Lecce, suggesting that the omissions are transfer-related.
