Bayern Munich star Harry Kane believes their injury problems are not an excuse in their Champions League clash against Inter Milan, stating that their ambition is still to be successful.

Bayern Munich injury crises

Vincent Kompany will be without a number of key players when Bayern Munich host Inter on Tuesday night in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash.

They lost Alphonso Davies to an ACL injury less than two weeks ago and will also be without defenders Dayot Upamencano and Hiroki Ito.

Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is doubtful, and defensive midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic is ruled out. Possibly the most debilitating, however, is the injury to Jamal Musiala, who suffered a torn muscle bundle in the 3-1 victory over Augsburg.

What Kane said

While their chance of winning the tie has taken a massive hit, star striker Harry Kane remained unfazed, stating that they are still confident of victory.

"Our goal is to succeed,” he told Sky Italia. “And to achieve that, we need everyone. It will be up to the players who don’t play as often. But there are no excuses.

“Every team deals with injuries and absences. We’ve managed these situations well throughout the season. Now is not the time to stop."

He went on to express his desire to lift the Champions League, stating that he had dreamt about it since he was young, underscoring his determination to defeat Inter despite the circumstances
