Nigeria 2-1 Ghana: Dessers scores again as Super Eagles beat Black Stars

In a thrilling all-West Africa encounter that reignited the fierce Jollof Derby rivalry, Nigeria’s Super Eagles emerged victorious over Ghana’s Black Stars with a 2-1 win. 

The star of the match was once again Cyriel Dessers, who continued his remarkable scoring streak against Ghana at the Unity Cup in London on Wednesday night.

The Super Eagles delivered a dominant first-half performance, with Dessers opening the scoring early to give Nigeria the lead following a sublime cross from Remo Stars man Ismail Sodiq. 

His clinical finish was soon complemented by a powerful header from 12 yards from Semi Ajayi, doubling Nigeria’s advantage before halftime. 

The Nigerian side’s attacking ability and solid defense made it difficult for Ghana to find their rhythm.

Despite trailing, Ghana showed resilience in the second half, mounting a spirited comeback that saw them pull one goal back. 

However, the Super Eagles held firm, maintaining their composure and defensive discipline to secure the win.
