Newcastle close in on Tonali
While Tonali has become a key player for Milan, his future is now in doubt following the interest from Newcastle United.
According to a report from TalkSport, the Magpies are closer to a deal for the £45m-rated midfielder and are hopeful of reaching an agreement with their Italian counterparts, Milan.
Tonali brief
Tonali played a decisive role as Milan lifted the Italian league two seasons ago, putting an end to a long wait for the Serie A.
The 23-year-old, who initially arrived San Siro on loan before making the move permanent, has established himself as an important player for the Rossoneri.
Known for his combative style of play, Tonali has improved other facets of his game to draw comparisons with club legend Andrea Pirlo.
He made 48 appearances for the club in all competitions last season as they finished fourth in Serie A and reached the Champions League semi-finals.
