It was a comfortable afternoon for Okonkwo whose goal was rarely threatened by the opponent who recorded just three shots on target all game.

Despite Accrington Stanley's efforts, they struggled to breach Okonkwo's defences, with the goalkeeper only called into action a few times throughout the match.

Cody Adedoyin forced the Super Eagles-eligible goalkeeper to his first save of the game from an angled strike.

He saved another effort from Tommy Leigh and did well yet again to deal with Connor O'Brien after the hour mark.

Having failed to concede in the game, he has now kept 10 clean sheets in the EFL League Two this season in 25 appearances but it was his 12th across all competitions.

Paul Mullin opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a precise header and would double the lead eight minutes later, unleashing a shot into the bottom corner.

Mullin would score another in the 35th minute, heading the ball home from an Elliot Lee's cross to bag his hat-trick and both combined once again for the fourth goal with the former cutting the ball into the path of the latter," reports our correspondent from the field.

Mullin's spectacular hat-trick not only showcased his brilliance but also highlighted the exceptional teamwork within the Wrexham squad.
